Ce Thursday January 16, 2025AEDs (educational assistants) and AESHs (supporters of students with disabilities) are on strike to denounce their remuneration conditions. In the Lot also, some of them follow the movement, notably in Luzech collegeand went as far as to demonstrate.

The AED and AESH of Luzech college on strike

The AED and AESH from the L'Impernal college in Luzech are therefore among the strikers. Reception at the college is disrupted, but the students were able to be received and follow classes normally.

The representatives of the Luzech strikers explain: “We are on strike today against precariousness; we want real status, real pay. The AED and the AESH have distinct missions but we share the same precariousness. Workloads are increasing while having “the lowest salaries in National Education”.

The aim of the mobilization day is to demand the creation of a category B civil service body in the State Civil Service, in order to have the professions of AESH and AED recognized and to request a significant increase in remuneration on throughout your career and recruitment that meets needs. »

A national movement

This national call for a strike was launched by several unions FSU-SNUipp, Sud education and the CGT.

On the one hand, the AESH are demanding the creation of a body of category B civil servant in the State Civil Service, to recognize the profession of AESH, a significant increase in remuneration over the entire career, the recognition of a full time on the basis of 24 hours of student support, without adding new missions in extracurricular time, the abandonment of PIAL, PAS and the policy of pooling resources, and recruitment of AESH at the level of needs.

The AEDs are demanding access to the permanent contract, the modification of working hours which are currently smoothed over the year, the taking into account of all night duty time in boarding schools and their management by academic services.
