After having to deal with a second forest fire, in mid-May, this time in Shelburne County, the province now believes that the conditions are in place to finally send personnel to other Canadian sectors. .
Twenty firefighters and a departmental representative therefore left Nova Scotia at dawn for the Northwest Territories, which is engaged in a battle against a fire that broke out on May 14.

A departure that coincides with the announcement of a new forest fire in Nova Scotia. The province announced late Wednesday that a fire had broken out in Sunny Brae, Pictou County. Firefighters and a helicopter were to go to the scene. The area affected has not yet been estimated.
