For the energy transition, heat pumps (PAC) have an important role to play.
The canton of Friborg is first in class, with 40.3% of buildings heated in this way.
This predominance is linked to regulations, but also to history.

HEATERS. To decarbonize Switzerland in 2050, as planned by the Federal Council’s strategy, it is necessary to eliminate oil and natural gas boilers, which remain the majority. A new subsidy was also announced on Monday for the replacement of large installations. To achieve this objective, and also to replace direct electric heating, we rely in particular on heat pumps (PAC).
