The Sûreté du Québec is launching an appeal to find two potential witnesses during the robbery which left a victim in Saint-Anselme last November.

The Crimes against the Person Investigation Department is asking for the public’s help in relation to this homicide that occurred on November 28, 2024, in a business located on Bégin Road, in Saint-Anselme.
On the evening of the tragedy, around 8 p.m., an armed individual burst into the business and fatally shot a woman in her thirties. He also seriously injured another woman in her twenties in the head before fleeing on foot.
A runner
Investigators are trying to identify a runner who passed several times on rue du Sous-Bois, in Saint-Anselme, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., as well as a lady who was walking with her dog on rue Commerciale, in the same hours.
This Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 3:30 p.m., a mobile command post and investigators will again be in Saint-Anselme, near 603 route Bégin, to meet anyone wishing to provide information related to this event. They will also go door to door in the neighborhood, hoping to meet other potential witnesses.
A command post was also deployed on December 2 near the business in question.
The police believe that this other intervention could provide important elements.

The employee from France who lost her life during the robbery is Justine Hertemann, 32 years old.
Remember that the young woman died during the robbery of the O Mini-Prix work clothing store.
The Sûreté du Québec is continuing its investigation into this case, while the suspect is still at large.
