The bosses do not have confidence in the future regarding the economic climate of the territory. Trust is extremely degraded according to the study Qualistat, carried out at the end of 2024 .81% of those surveyed are not confident
compared to 17%, who say they are confident. None of the managers interviewed said they were very confident.L’ concern of business leaders
not only concerns the future of their company at 52%, they are not at all confident and 56% are not at all confident about the prospects of the sector of activity which concerns them.
An apprehension that we also find depending on the sectors of activity: worried at 69% for agriculture and industry, 60% for construction, 60% for commerce and 47% for services.
No job creation projects and no investments The state of mind of the business leaders interviewed says a lot, they are43% worried
optimistic at 26%, suspicious at 23% and bold at 21%.
This gloom is also reflected in the hiring outlook for the next twelve months. At 66%, the bosses respond that they have no job creation project
all sectors combined and explain it at 48% because they have sufficient staff. Finally, in terms of investments
also, 48% of these business leaders say they have not planned any.
The Qualistat survey was carried out among 317 companies representative of the economic fabric of Guadeloupe, the vast majority of which are very small
companieswith fewer than 10 employees (72%).
