“Contrary to what continues to be said, our journalist did not take any photos or videos, and had turned off his cell phone upon entry,” says management, denouncing unfounded accusations and relentlessness at the same time. sexist, anti-Semitic and racist.

In a tweet published on X, UDR deputy Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, wrote: “Support for Ivanne Trippenbach. I'm kidding. Let go. “He who lives by the sword shall perish by the sword.” A statement perceived by many as a clear incitement to cyberharassment.

Faced with criticism, the latter tried to qualify his remarks. In a new publication, he declares that he has always “condemned with all his strength the harassment campaigns”, while justifying his speaking out as a denunciation of “bad journalistic practices”. He defends himself by asserting that his intention was only to “free speech” and to express his opposition to methods that he considers “unworthy”.

A worrying recurrence

This is not the first time that Alexandre Allegret-Pilot is at the center of a controversy linked to his publications on social networks. At the end of December 2024, the elected official had in fact published on his X account, a “QI Cate”, a planisphere deemed racistsupposed to represent average IQs by country, a visual widely relayed in far-right circles to promote racialist theories.

The editorial staff of the newspaper The Mondeaffirms without a shadow of hesitation that he “will systematically pursue the perpetrators of threats and insults”.
