More skilful with the keyboard in hand than with the ball on his feet, he decides to mainly cover a beloved sport, criticized and hated at the same time (football) and a sport that is not one (wrestling).
Despite OM's desire to part ways with him, Chancel Mbemba would remain firm in his decision not to leave this winter. While clubs from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have reportedly expressed interest, the Congolese defender seems to favor a free departure at the end of the season, thus complicating Marseille's plans.
Pushed towards the exit by OM last summer, like Samuel Gigot, Jordan Veretout or even Paul Lopez, Chancel Mbemba did not leave unlike the players mentioned above. His situation then deteriorated until it reached a point of no return in the Marseille city, including two layoffs. While Chancel Mbemba remains under contract until the end of the season, loon hopes to find him a way out in January, but the defender would stick to his position.
Towards a free departure for Mbemba
Chancel Mbemba does not intend to facilitate the affairs of the Marseille club. According to At Minutes OMthe Congolese international is courted by Al-Wasl (United Arab Emirates) or Al-Fateh (Saudi Arabia) but does not plan to move during this winter transfer window. Thus, the account specializing in Marseille training news indicates that Mbemba should leave free at the end of the season.
“Everyone looks at their own interests”
Interviewed in November by Canal+ Africa, Chancel Mbemba had nevertheless opened the door to a departure during the season: “ Me, I work. When the club thinks of me, glory to God. When the club doesn't think of me, life goes on. But we are not going to lower our heads, we are going to stay focused and continue to work […] I have a contract with Marseille. I hope to (leave) in January, whenever God wants. But when God doesn't decide… It's humans. Humans are complicated, everyone looks out for their own interests. But the most important thing is to do our job to satisfy everyone. »
