Until February 3Parisians are invited to go to the city website to suggest design and improvement ideas for the capital. An operation which attracts the inhabitantssince just a few days after the launch, we are already counting more than 250 proposals. Some remain very practices et supposed, with measures centered around soft mobility (the bicycle on the front line), live togetherof the cleanliness and children. Others, on the contrary, show themselves more inventiveand do not hesitate to get off the beaten track to make Paris the place to be. A brief overview of 5 propositions which caught our attention.
DNA tests for verbalizing dog droppings
It is undoubtedly the best proposal of the whole list. We know, Paris is not the cleanest city in the world (nor the dirtiest, but hey), and that is largely due to dog droppings that owners forget to pick up. So when it's in a little nook where no one will ever set footat the limit, but when it's right in front of the door of his buildingit still becomes more annoying. To remedy this, a Parisian offers us a very ingenious tip: carry out DNA tests on droppingsto find the dog and fine their owner. As a bonus, an app that would allow directly report the presence of droppings with city officials. It speaks to us.
Places dedicated to work breaks
We often imagine the Parisian in a hurry, determined et dynamic. This proposal, however, clearly shows that some of us have a sense of prioritieslike this person who wants to create places managed by the municipalityand only dedicated to relaxation and rest during working hours. In other words, a public space where come and take your best nap during your lunch break. Comfortable armchairs, dim lights, soothing atmosphere, what disconnect et recharge your batteries in the middle of a somewhat stressful day. We sign directly.
A competition for the most beautiful flowered balcony
This is the cute little touch to this listingand we couldn't miss it. The principle is simple, organize a huge city-wide competition to reward the person who has the most beautiful balcony. The perfect way to kill two birds with one stone, by making the capital even more beautiful while encouraging its inhabitants to participate in the massive revegetation carried out by Paris City Hall. We just have one criterion to add: ban on putting dripping torrents of fake flowers as we see far too often on the front of certain restaurants. We want something fresh and delicate.
A reward system for waste collection
Voilà a proposal that combines the useful with the useful. The concept is quite simple, collect common wastesuch as cigarette butts, cardboard or plastic, and drop off in dedicated locations to get something in exchange. A system that has already proven itself, for example in Germanywhere the plastic bottles are returnable. The icing on the cake is that the proposal goes further than that, suggesting that the approach could allow people in need to have access to basic necessities in exchange for their participation, thanks to a partnership with associations.
Pétanque courts on the Place du Trocadéro
Well, we shouldn't stay serious too longto finish this list, we offer you a new idea focused mainly on pleasure and relaxation : the establishment of pétanque AND boccia courts on the square of Trocadéro. A good way to make one of the most touristy places in the capital a spot a little more popular and festivebut also to bring back a little of the spirit of the South to the capital (even if we would have just as validated a Breton shuffleboard court projectof course). Our hands are already itching at the thought of being able to clock.
