13,000 wishes set on fire

Saturday January 11, 2025 at the Beauchêne village hall, the volunteers of the festival committee gathered to share a meal ending with the galette des rois and thus make the balance sheet of these five weeks of illuminations.

Made every day by Alain, 15,000 brioches were sold straight out of the bread oven, and at the foot of the scented crèche, more than 13,000 wishes were hung on the three wishing trees.

Donations from the nursery given to a local association

For three weekends, sandwiches, mulled wine and pancakes were sold in large quantities. The event mobilized between 40 and 50 volunteers in turn, and around ten traffic police officers to direct the visitors, many of whom left a message on the guest book during their visit.

This year, donations from the nursery were given to l’association Tinch’Roseswho fights against breast cancer. Father Raymond Hébert hand-delivered a check for €820 to its president Maëva Jousset.
