To get him out, the emergency services had to put in place a large system – seventeen firefighters and nine vehicles – supported by a medical team as well as specialists.
Already an accident last December
The victim, once freed, was transported to the Carémeau University Hospital in Nîmes. An incident reminiscent of that of last December, where another 40-year-old worker was injured in the arm during work on the Cadereau tunnel. It was discovered at the height of the tunnel boring machine, approximately 500 meters from the initial access.
