Swore. The white plan once again extended at Lons-le-Saunier hospital

Like everywhere in , the white plan was triggered at the Lons-le-Saunier hospital on January 6. This Monday, January 13, the hospital center informs that the system is still maintained, but is however considering an official lifting of the plan “in the days to come”.

“Since this weekend, it seems that the flow of hospitalizations linked to the epidemic of influenza and respiratory syncytial virus is decreasing. Under these conditions, we are now organizing a gradual return to standard hospital organization,” explains Jura Sud hospital center in Lons-le-Saunier in a press release.

A saturation of the reaction service

He also recalls that “the sustained flow of patients since the Christmas period has led to saturation of the intensive care unit and the need to mobilize the recovery room which cannot otherwise transfer these patients”. A situation which led to the activation of the plan and the request for medical-paramedical and administrative staff.

Faced with the flow of hospitalizations, the plan had to be maintained for the first time on January 10. Beds had thus been reopened in general medicine: “More than twenty beds have been reopened or designated for medical specialty since the start of the year,” explains the hospital center.
