As usual, Samsung exhibited its MicroLED panels in a showroom in the heart of Caesar Palace on the occasion of CES 2025. While we are now used to seeing this technology highlighted during the various events in which we participate, it is nevertheless the first time that Samsung presents its RGB MicroLED technology. Exhibited separately, in its corner, with a single product to represent it, this technology takes up, so to speak, the concept already presented by Hisense and TCL; namely, a backlight composed of red, green and blue diodes, all individually addressable. The major difference here is none other than the size of the diodes, when it comes to MicroLED. In reality, instead of using them at the pixel level, as is the case on classic MicroLED screens, they are placed behind, as a backlight.
We saw Samsung's RGB MicroLED on a 98-inch XXL TV, what's this crazy?
