Faced with the flu epidemic and the increase in hospitalizations, after going to the emergency room, three hospitals in the department: Nantes, Saint-Nazaire and Châteaubriant triggered the white plan. The objective being in particular to free up downstream beds and to be able to recall staff if necessary.

On the other hand, for the moment, the two other establishments with an emergency department, namely the public hospital of Ancenis and the private hospital Confluent in Rezé (Vivalto Santé group) have not needed to switch to white plane. But as for the three other hospitals, access to their emergency rooms will no longer be free at night, but regulated via the 15.
“At Confluent, to deal with the flu epidemic, we have intensified our collaborations with the University Hospital and other establishments,” underlines Caroline Berthet, the director of Confluent. All of our downstream hospitalization beds are open, all specialties combined, with the number of staff in place. We remain 100% mobilized to support and accompany the CHU and the population of our territory in the face of these winter tensions. »
Remember that in 2024 and on several occasions, Confluent had already had to regulate access to its own emergency rooms at night and certain weekends.
