A poster left at the reception of the establishment created the alert, around 8:15 a.m. Law enforcement and a bomb squad were dispatched to the scene. The area was cordoned off. “The doubt was lifted a little before 10:30 a.m.,” indicates the rectorate.
The day was able to resume as normal before the lunch break and the cafeteria opened its doors to students. A mobile security team will remain present at the school throughout the week.
Two other bomb threats were reported a few kilometers from the Sophie Berthelot high school. The Jean Monnet college, in Coulogne, where the doubt was lifted, and at the Coubertin school campus, in Calais. A dog team is on site to remove any doubts, specifies the rectorate.
