Reunion Islander Amandine Virassamy Sacri is passionate about dance. The young woman was part of Crazy Horse in Paris. A fan of burlesque shows, she would like to create a cabaret on the island.
Reunion Islander Amandine Virassamy has been passionate about dance since she was 2 years old. For her, the trigger was her big sister's dance performance. 22 years later, his passion has never left him. In 2023 she was able to audition at Crazy Horse in Paris. Dancing in this famous cabaret was not easy, Amandine spent 5 months there and has no regrets.
“My stage name was India Zephyr, india for my origins and zephyr is a light breeze. I left Crazy Horse, I really didn't feel good there. It was the first time in my life that I left the family cocoon. I was very stressed, it made me very vulnerable“.
Amandine comes to recharge her batteries on her island of origin. All year round she dances on the biggest international stages, in the very long term she would like to open a cabaret here in Reunion. “If I opened my cabaret right away, it would be very difficult to manage the cabaret and my contracts on the side. I have several companies, one in Italy, one in France and one in England. I have been all over the world, barely 4 days before arriving in Reunion I was in Switzerland“.
Amandine was born in Nice, but the young girl remains very attached to her origins and her island. She returns to Reunion as soon as possible. “The year 2023-2024 has been very complicated for me. I felt the need to return to my island. When I thought about it in my bed, I cried. Even if I was born in mainland France, my energy is in Reunion“.
For the dancer, the next destination will be Saint-Martin in February. She will perform in the Caribbean for 4 months. She will take a little sunshine from Reunion in her luggage.
