It was under heavy fog and a temperature above zero degrees that the departmental cross began Sunday morning at the Resto racecourse in Questembert. Eleven races were on the program, from chicks to Masters, men and women. The temperature in no way discouraged the young people, from chicks to cadets: there were 522 of them at the start!

Le Carq, a local club dear to its president René Burban, managed this morning to place the chick Lucien Vaugrenard in second place, the youngest Mayeul Evain in fourth and the youngest, Yuna Quiniou and Emmy Lannio took third and fourth place on the podium.

The men's masters race over a distance of 8,900 meters and on thawed and therefore difficult terrain would keep the spectators in suspense. 5 riders broke away during the first loop, Christian Macé, (Aclrp Locminé-Pontivy-Ploërmel), Christian Dréan, (Cima Pays d'Auray), Julien Le Corff (Cima Pays d'Auray) and two riders from Carq Benoît Fourmont and Alain Ruel, multiple times champions of who had just achieved a great performance in a previous event. With two laps remaining, Alain Ruel took fourth place and little by little was eating away at his opponents. With less than one lap to go, the podium was decided, Alain Ruel managed to take third place and kept it until the finish.

Ludivine Martel (Pays de ) is champion of Morbihan ahead of Fatima Nogues (Aclrp Locminé-Pontivy-Ploërmel) and Élodie Wanherdrick (Athle du Pays de ).

Incredible race for the ladies. After 200 meters of racing the three athletes on the podium were already in the lead of the race and were never going to give up this place. Fatima Nogues, winner of the last strides of Questembert, and Élodie Wanherdrick, the last two winners of the competition, are the favorites of this trio. This was without counting on the youth of Ludivine Martel, still hopeful, who finally imposed herself on the train.

Antonin Saint-Pierre, imperial, wins among the Aces

He created a surprise in 2024, in 2025 he emerges as favorite. Antonin Saint-Pierre controlled the Ace race from start to finish. A boost in the last loop was enough for the resident of Athlé Pays de Vannes to get rid of his opponents. He will be significantly absent from the Regional championship, since Antonin is leaving for the United States to continue his studies. The podium was decided in a sprint for the places of honor, Ewen Gilmois (Cima Pays d'Auray) took the second step of the podium and Brenda Thomas took third place.
