The Director General of the National Police, Mame Seydou Ndour, was received in Banjul by the Head of State of The Gambia, Adama Barrow. The announcement was made by the Senegalese Police in a press release made public on Saturday.
The Inspector General of Police, Mame Seydou Ndour, Director General of the National Police, and his delegation were welcomed at Banjul Palace by the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Adama Barrow. According to a press release from the Senegalese Police released on Saturday, during this hearing, Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray, Director General of the Gambia National Police, who was visiting Senegal this week, informed President Barrow of the fruitful engagements that had taken place during his stay. He also stressed the importance of continued collaboration between the two police forces.
For his part, President Barrow stressed the need for enhanced cooperation in the fight against crime and irregular migration. “He noted the cultural and historical ties between The Gambia and Senegal, emphasizing that enhanced security collaboration would further strengthen peace and stability in both countries,” the note recalls.
