6 Nations Tournament 2025: we know the names of the referees who will officiate during the matches of the XV of France

Men, women and young people are now fixed. The French Rugby Federation has published the list of referees commissioned by World Rugby for Tricolores matches during the men’s, women’s and under-20 Six Nations Tournaments. There are some well-known names there.

First that of Paul Williams. The New Zealand referee, selected among the 12 referees for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, will be on the whistle for the opening match of the Tournament between France and Wales (January 31 at 9:15 p.m.). Then, Nika Amashukeli, the man who officiated during the last France – New Zealand at the Stade de France (30-29). The Georgian was assigned to another match: England-France on February 8 (5:45 p.m.).

After taking part in the France-Ireland of the 2024 Tournament, Karl Dickson was appointed to the Italy-France of this new edition (February 23, 4 p.m.). A poster that the English referee already had at the end of 2023 during a World Cup meeting between the two teams (60-7 for the Blues). Finally, the Australian Angus Gardner, on the whistle for the 2024 “Crunch”, will lead the meeting between the XV of Clover and the XV of France (March 8, 3:15 p.m.).

As for the last meeting between France and Scotland, it was entrusted to the Englishman Matthew Carley, as was the case at the end of May 2024 during the Champions Cup final between Leinster and Stade Toulousain. Carley also led the meeting between France and Namibia during the 2023 World Cup.
