Marchica Med SA is entering a decisive phase in the development project of the City of Atalayoun by integrating the private sector. A tender has been issued in this regard. This project, a pillar of the development of the Marchica lagoon initiated in 2008 under royal leadership, promises to combine sustainability, modernity and regional development.
Marchica Med SA, project owner of the Marchica lagoon development project, has reached a strategic milestone by validating an ambitious action plan for the City of Atalayoun. Objective: accelerate the development of this flagship destination by integrating private players. During its recent board meeting, the company confirmed this vision, part of the continuity of the royal strategy to promote the Oriental region.
A vision anchored in respect for the environment
The Marchica lagoon, extending over 19,000 hectares between land and aquatic surfaces, represents a unique natural heritage. The City of Atalayoun project aims to combine this wealth with a sustainable economic and tourist ambition. By positioning itself as a reference destination, the city will integrate modern infrastructure while preserving the local ecosystem.
A diversified tourist and residential offer
With its 154 hectares, the City of Atalayoun is home to a complete tourist complex, including residences, hotels, a golf course and a marina. This integrated model is part of an approach to sustainability and innovation, meeting the needs of local populations, as well as Moroccan and foreign visitors, while generating economic opportunities for the region.
Open calls for projects to accelerate development
In order to realize this vision, Marchica Med SA has launched seven open calls for projects, covering a varied range of activities, such as a golf hotel, villas, a school or even a clinic. These initiatives, spread across strategic lots, demonstrate a structured approach to attract investors and realize the project’s ambitions.
Towards an inclusive and prosperous future
This new step marks a renewed commitment to inclusive development, respecting the principles of sustainability. The City of Atalayoun, at the heart of this dynamic, symbolizes a vision focused on the future, combining economic progress and environmental preservation.
