The Moroccan passport is experiencing a remarkable rise in power, rising to 69th position worldwide in the 2025 edition of the Henley Passport Index, published by the firm Henley & Partners. This progress demonstrates a significant evolution, compared to its 71st place in 2024 and the 80th position occupied in 2023.

With visa-free access to 73 destinations, the Moroccan passport has established itself as the most powerful in North Africa. It thus surpasses Tunisia (73rd with 69 destinations), Mauritania (84th with 58 destinations), Algeria (86th with 56 destinations), Egypt (90th with 52 destinations) and Libya (100th with 40 destinations).

In the space of two years, the Moroccan passport has progressed by 11 places, reflecting increasing international openness and constant efforts to facilitate the mobility of citizens. These advances are part of a global dynamic of evolution of mobility policies.

Moroccan passport holders can now travel without a prior visa to various destinations such as Brazil, Turkey, the Philippines, Senegal, Lebanon and Thailand, thus strengthening their freedom of movement on several continents.

Internationally, Singapore maintains the top spot, offering visa-free access to 195 destinations, followed by Japan (193) and several European countries, including Germany and (192).
