According to Hespresstax inspectors checked the transactions made by a doctor with his Moroccan bank card, and found that he spent a total amount of 270,000 dirhams on hotel reservations and purchases of clothes, jewelry and watches luxury while vacationing with his wife and daughter in Europe.

Tax auditors also found significant discrepancies between two engineers’ income and spending sprees on dream vacations to Greece, Italy, Monaco, Ibiza in Spain and other countries. These false tax declarations were discovered with the assistance of the competent services of the Foreign Exchange Office and the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Taxes.

Also, tax inspectors have put in place new processes to track down fraudsters. They monitor and analyze the information disseminated by people practicing liberal professions on social networks, and then carry out checks on their tax declarations.
