A woman was seriously injured Tuesday evening during a violent accident on Mathias Road in the Shipshaw area. The individuals who were in the second vehicle quickly fled the scene of the collision.

Shortly after, police arrested two people suspected of being behind the hit-and-run. They went into hiding after the event. They are expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
