A week after the death of Isabelle, a 51-year-old home helper who died under the blows of her husband on New Year's Eve in Hautmont, in the North, her daughter expressed all her incomprehension and anger at the microphone of RTL.
On the night of December 31 to January 1, Isabelle M., a 51-year-old home help, was killed by her husband. The man, who mentioned an argument against the backdrop of adultery, beat his partner to death before calling for help saying “I did something stupid”. A week after this tragedy, the couple's eldest daughter, Léa, expressed her incomprehension and anger on RTL during a white march organized in tribute to her mother, the first victim of femicide in 2025.
The young woman first returned to the suspicions of adultery that her father harbored against her mother. “It’s impossible,” she says. “We all knew it was impossible coming from my mother, but it had become an obsession for him,” explains Léa. He had kept everyone away from her. » Isabelle had tried to flee, “she wanted to leave, but he was her first love, and he always knew how to convince her to stay” and she remained “convinced that he was capable of changing”.
