SENEGAL-EDUCATION-INFRASTRUCTURE / Diourbel: laying the foundation stone of three classrooms at the Ndoulo high school – Senegalese press agency

Ndoulo, January 8 (APS) – The deputy sub-prefect of Ndoulo, Alboury Ndao, proceeded on Tuesday to the laying of the first stone of three classrooms of the high school of this local authority, located in the department of Diourbel ( center).

“(….) This project to build three classrooms aims to support the social project that the new authorities have launched, namely the Senegal vision 2050 framework,” explained Abibou Cissé, president of the Diaspora action association. Senegal, initiator of this project.

This project, estimated at 40 million CFA francs, is financed by the Altrad Solidarity Group, indicated Mr. Cissé, adding that acceptance of the work is scheduled for June 2025.

The secretary general of the Diourbel academy inspection, Modou Ndiaye, maintained that the construction of these classrooms will truly improve the environment and the learning environment for the students of this establishment.

He specified that the construction component constitutes the number 2 lever of the Ministry of National Education.

According to him, “the availability of sufficient educational infrastructure will have a positive impact on teaching and learning and improve the academic performance of students”.

“The construction of these classrooms comes at the right time because the Ndoulo high school is faced with a glaring lack of classrooms, not without counting the lack of textbooks, computer rooms and table-benches,” maintained, for her part, the president of the school government, Khady Gaye.
