The association which has been working since October 2022 in the Meuse, “At home” opened its store on June 1st on the ground floor of the Ehpad la Sapinière. This Monday, January 6, according to L'Est Républicain, a new milestone was reached, since the premises were officially inaugurated.

A store for residents

Located at 1 Allée Henriot du Coudray in Bar-le-Duc, this small business is a delight for 141 residents as well as staff. Hygiene products as well as fresh food and drinks are available on site. For residents or their visitors on a reduced budget, donated clothing is also on sale.

The profits from sales will obviously be donated to the association with the aim of investing this money in projects for residents, such as financing workshops or stays for them.

Looking for new volunteers

For the moment around twenty members of the association take care of running the shop two days a week: the Wednesdays and the Saturdaysof 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. But the association is always looking for volunteers, in order to best ensure the management of the premises made available in the reception hall of the Ehpad la Sapinière.
