In the same vein, the minister considered that this program plays a central role in consolidating the socio-economic development of these centers, as well as in strengthening infrastructure, equipment and public services, in addition to its contribution to the promotion of tourism and the promotion of cultural heritage.
The government official indicated that a preliminary program was established as part of the national program, including 77 rural centers, one center for each province, in accordance with a study carried out by the ministry in 2017.
She added that among these centers, 37 benefited from the ministry’s programs within the framework of city policy conventions, with a total cost estimated at 395 million dirhams, noting that partnership agreements were signed under the first phase of the national program for the development of emerging rural centers, with 12 pilot centers, one per region.
Ms. El Mansouri also specified that the first phase directly targeted 16,000 households, while 40,000 families benefited indirectly, for a total amount of 1.052 billion dirhams, of which the ministry contributed 375 million dirhams. .
