The Château de la Mothe in Ligugé (Vienna) has just been inaugurated in its new configuration. This 15th century residence underwent numerous renovations until the Restoration Real Estate Company (CIR) bought it from its owner who still resided there. It now houses 32 apartments, from T1 to T3.
Two years of work. The project was entrusted to the Audoin-Lefeuvre agency. After two years of work (cost: €3.7 million excluding tax), architect Amaïa Bernad details the transformations implemented: “The volume of the exterior envelope has been preserved and the bays maintained, for the most part, in their initial dimensions. The facades, made of cut stone or rubble, have been renovated and the slate roof redone. The wooden joinery has been replaced or restored. The interior distribution has also been redesigned to serve the accommodation, spread over three levels. The old attic was converted, which allowed the framework to be highlighted. As for the architectural decorations, they have been restored and occasionally reused. »
