Saint-Louis, Jan 4 (APS) – The governor of the Saint-Louis region (north), Al Hassan Sall, expressed, Saturday, his satisfaction with regard to the strong mobilization noted, on the occasion of the eighth edition of the national cleaning day, the organization of which was entrusted to the Defense and Security Forces.
The official ceremony in this region of the north of the country was launched in the commune of Fass Ngom.
”I would first like to express a feeling of satisfaction with the strong mobilization of the actors obviously led by the Defense and Security Forces, in particular the commander of military zone No. 2 and the Gendarmerie Legion, who mobilized their elements who came to accompany the civilians as part of this citizens’ day established by His Excellency the President of the Republic so that we make our environment, our living environment clean,” declared the governor, on the sidelines of the launching ceremony .
The head of the regional executive also returned to the choice of Fass Ngom, emphasizing that this locality will host an annual ziarra or pious visit on Sunday, January 12.
In his statement, Mr. Sall also praised the leadership of the Army which, for a week, has been mobilizing and preparing for this day, but also all the actors who have expressed their support for this citizen initiative.
The commander of military zone Nº2, Thiendella Fall, the representative of the Caliph of Mpal, El Hadji Malick Ngom, the deputy Seynabou Yacine Samb, among others, personalities participated in this citizen initiative.
