The department of Orne, which until now was placed on snow and ice yellow vigilance, will be placed on vigilance orange from 4 p.m. This is what Météo France announced in its 10 a.m. bulletin.
Black ice before “a clear mild spell”
According to the site, “a disruption will cross the north of France between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. »
The first precipitation from this disturbance, in the form of freezing rain or on frozen ground (freezing when it hits the ground), could make the roads very slippery for a few hours in the departments on orange alert, particularly from the first heights. A clear mild spell will prevail in the evening over Orne and Eure-et-Loir, and rather at the start of the night from Saturday to Sunday over Eure and Seine-Maritime.
Note that, still according to Météo France, “thewest of the Orne department will be less concerned (more local and temporary risk). »
This stormy vigilance runs, for the moment, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., but will be preceded by a yellow vigilance from 3 p.m. and followed by another yellow vigilance until 10 p.m.
As for the Orne prefecture, it is announced that “the episode of freezing rain shouldt extend into the night from Saturday to Sunday.» She asks you to remain “very vigilant, especially if you have to take the road. »
