A night of flames and chills: assessment of the interventions of the Hérault firefighters
Last night was eventful for the Hérault Fire Department, mobilized on three major interventions which left their mark. Between devastating flames, charred vehicles, and road accidents, their courage and efficiency have, once again, made the difference.
Drama in the heart of the city: a house fire in Prémian
At 11:40 p.m., firefighters were urgently called to rue du Coulas, in the historic center of Prémian, for a devastating fire. A R+1 type dwelling is plagued by a spectacular roof fire. Armed with two water lances, they put down the flames after a fierce struggle. Results: three residents relocated and one person evacuated to the Béziers Hospital Center after inhaling smoke. The probable origin? A poorly controlled chimney fire.
Vehicles on fire in Béziers
Less than an hour later, at 12:18 a.m., a new alert mobilized the fire brigade: a fire broke out in the parking lot of the Ford dealership, rue Claude Nougaro in Béziers. The flames ravaged ten vehicles, five of which were completely destroyed. Fortunately, the main building was spared. The origin of this disaster remains, for the moment, unknown, but the material damage is considerable.
-Head-on collision in Agde
Finally, at 1:40 a.m., firefighters intervened on a traffic accident involving two cars on the road to Tamarissière, near the RD 612, in Agde. Four victims were recorded, two of whom were slightly injured. They were evacuated to Béziers hospital. The exact circumstances of this accident have not yet been clarified.
Heroes serving the people of Hérault
Despite these challenges, the Hérault firefighters demonstrated exemplary professionalism. Their responsiveness and dedication made it possible to limit material damage and protect human lives.
