Oasis of Senegal: Eramet Grande Côte revives the tourism sector in Lompoul

To boost the tourist offer in the Lompoul area, the mining company Eramet Grande Côte has set up a 544-hectare hotel reception in Diogo, not far from Lompoul. “Oasis du Senegal” is thus installed in an area already exploited by the mining company. “Mining operations actually started in 2014 with a ramp-up period spanning three years. We also deemed it necessary, beyond the financial compensation that can be made, to go beyond our legal obligations, to build this hotel reception to allow them (the impacted communities) to resettle,” explains Frédéric Zanklan. , Managing Director of Eramet Grande Côte.
