The members of this dangerous criminal network which sowed terror on the Bouznika-Témara, Rabat, Salé-Kénitra axis, are being prosecuted for various crimes. While six of them are accused of “premeditated intentional homicide, atrocity crimes, kidnapping, attempted intentional homicide, formation of a criminal gang, theft committed with aggravating circumstances, kidnapping, assault and battery and violence volunteers leading to permanent disability”, three others are being prosecuted for “concealment of theft, modification of a crime scene and theft of vehicle registration plates”, reports Assaba.
“The members of this dangerous criminal gang were neutralized thanks to coordination between the judicial police services of Témara, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Aïn Atiq, El Mansouria, Sidi Bettache, Ain El-Aouda, Benslimane, Skhirat and the Kenitra police,” sources specify to the daily newspaper. The criminal network had a very specific modus operandi: a member of the gang contacts “the driver of the car via the inDrive application, and tells him his destination, before surprising him by strangling him, generally in a deserted area, from him brutally inflict fatal blows, relieve him of all his possessions and then throw him into the forest.

According to a victim, heard by the investigating judge during the in-depth investigation into this case, “the members of this gang had called him to transport them from Avenue des FAR in Témara towards Skhirat, before surprising him at level of Souk El Arbiaâ de Aïn Atiq. One of the criminals jumped on the ignition key of the car and the other sprayed him with tear gas.” The driver added that he was then “placed in the trunk of the car before being thrown near a bridge under construction, near the El Attaouia douar, in Bouznika”. Six other victims reported similar facts, the same sources inform.
The search carried out at the home of two members of the gang in Skhirat led to the seizure of several objects, including badges from the Cherifian Phosphate Office (OCP). Investigators also discovered that this criminal network was behind the death of an employee of this structure, whose body was found between Tamesna and Sidi Bettache.
