Stéphane Plaza will be present at the Paris judicial court at the opening of his trial, next Thursday January 9, BFMTV learned from Carlo Alberto Brusa, one of his lawyers.
Absent on Wednesday August 28 during a first hearing due to “psychological fragilities”, the star host of M6 is today “fit to appear”, according to the results of a recent medical expertise which his lawyer summarized the content at BFMTV.
“He wants to defend himself”
“Yes, he is fit to appear,” Me Brusa explained to BFMTV. “And besides, he wants it! He wants to defend his innocence and denounce, with us, the lies that have put him there today.”

Accused of violence by two former companions, the TV host produced, during the hearing on Wednesday August 28, a medical certificate mentioning in particular “massive anxiety, dark thoughts and sleep disorders”.
The practitioner who examined him then recommended “hospitalization in a protected environment”. The Paris judicial court then returned the file and ordered a complete second opinion before delving into the file.
Recently coming out of silence on the Instagram network to thank his supporters, Stéphane Plaza faces a sentence of up to ten years in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros. His trial is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 9 at 9:30 a.m.
