In Concarneau, Marie- Benvegnen, former assistant in charge of social affairs in the 2000s, under the mandate of Gilbert Le Bris, has just died, at the age of 73. “The announcement of his death touched me a lot, he was someone of great human value,” testified this Saturday, December 28, Gilbert Le Bris, mayor of Concarneau from 1983 to 2008.

Turning towards others

“When I knew her, she looked after the elders’ home in Kerandon. She was very invested, very present, with others. I thought of her for social affairs. She agreed to join my list,” he recalls. “Efficient in her work”, “dedicated” and “appreciated by all”, Marie-France Benvegnen has “perfectly fulfilled her role as social affairs assistant”. Gilbert Le Bris will remember a woman “with enormous empathy”, capable of “unfailing investment in others”.

Marie-France Benvegnen rests at the Concarneau funeral home, rue Saint-Jacques. A final damage will be done to him on Monday December 30, at 10 a.m., at the crematorium.
