The President of the National Assembly, Malick Ndiaye, chaired this Monday, a meeting with the administration and security of the parliamentary institution, with a view to preparing the General Policy Declaration (DPG) of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, planned on December 27, 2024.
During this meeting, the President took stock of the progress of preparations and gave firm instructions to ensure flawless organization, with emphasis on organizational, logistical and media aspects.
The same day, the President of the National Assembly and the deputies tested the new electronic voting system, intended to modernize legislative procedures. This system, which replaces traditional voting methods, allows faster, transparent and secure management of ballots. A simulated plenary session was organized to familiarize MPs with this system, which was well received. This reform aims to modernize the institution, improve legislative efficiency and strengthen the transparency of decision-making processes.
Teams from the Prime Minister's office also participated in this technical test and visited the different sections of the hemicycle. The President urged his colleagues to work closely with the Prime Minister's Office to guarantee the success of the event on an organizational level.
