Intergenerational for this edition, the traditional Senior Friendship meal, organized by the Municipal Social Action Center (CCAS), brought together 130 guests, surrounded by elected officials and the Municipal Youth Council (CMJ) at the beginning of the month.
Montferrand elected officials Claire Ferry and Nathalie Caillaud work with the youth council on environmental, solidarity and security projects, but also linked to local events, without forgetting their elders. So, they all mobilized to distribute around a hundred end-of-year gourmet baskets to people who were unable to come to the seniors' meal. For Claire Ferry, “they are full of ideas and projects for next year, and I don’t know if we will be able to undertake everything”. The mayor, Josiane Zambon, highlighted the work carried out for seniors by the social commission, in collaboration with the CCAS.
Tribute to Mauricette Boudy
“We are very happy to have with us Mauricette Boudy, the living memory of Saint-Louis, volunteer at the Memory and Heritage association, active member of the parish of Ambarès. Mauricette is a whole life spent in Saint-Louis recounted by her in a small book published in 2018,” the mayor concludes her speech.
Listening, mutual aid, advice and volunteering are Mauricette's lifeline. Indeed, she made a gesture of great generosity by offering her house, which she no longer occupies now, so that it could become a secure and welcoming place to live.
Currently, it is a provision, but later she wishes to donate her house to the municipality, also in the name of her husband Gérard Boudy, mayor of Saint-Louis-de-Montferrand from 1995 to 2001 and who was deeply attached to the village..
