The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors face off on Christmas Day in a clash between two historic franchises who are trying to find some consistency this season. The two teams are playing a very close match in the first half, as neither is able to overcome the other. Unfortunately for the Lakers, there has already been one major injury during the first quarter. Center Anthony Davis broke his left ankle while walking into the lane and returned to the locker room after playing just 7 minutes. Davis remained there until halftime. Shortly after the start of the second half, the team announced that they would miss the remainder of the game.
At the end of the meeting everyone was curious to know more about the severity of the injury and its impact on the Lakers' season. Luckily, the center confirmed to ESPN that he is fine and will play in the next game against the Sacramento Kings (“I'll be OK. I am playing against SAC on Saturday”). Officially Anthony Davis has been classified as day by day, so the overall picture of the situation could instead advise the franchise to let him miss Friday's game, with the Lakers having already won three against the Kings this season.
