Kidnapping, sequestration and rape
A 23-year-old young man was indicted for kidnapping, sequestration and viol on her 13-year-old cousin, announced the prosecutor's office in Grenoble Saturday December 21.
As reported West Francein tears, the young girl took refuge in a clinic in Grenoble, on the night of December 16 to 17, revealed the prosecutor Eric Vaillant, thus confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré.
Detention for three days
The young girl told staff at the establishment that she escaped through the window of her uncle and aunt's apartment, Grenoble. She said she was held there for three days and raped several times by her cousin, while the latter's parents were present in the apartment.
According to her, her own parents wanted her to marry her cousin. With his two brothers, the latter came to kidnap him from his family home, located in a camp in Cergy, in the Paris region. She was then taken to the Grenoble apartment, the prosecutor said.
Six people taken into custody
All the people involved in this case were placed in police custody on December 18 and 19: the suspect, his two brothers, the uncle, the aunt and the father of the minor. At a minimum, they recognized the existence of a marriage plan, announced Eric Vaillant.
The 23-year-old cousin was indicted and imprisoned for viol on a minor aged 15 by an adult with an age difference of at least 5 years, kidnapping and sequestration.
As for the minor's father, he was prosecuted for complicity in kidnapping and kidnapping before being placed under judicial supervision, contrary to the requests of the public prosecutor's office which appealed.
The uncle and aunt of the young victim were placed under assisted witness status, which the prosecution also appealed.
