The young artist reveals on a black background portraits of young women evoking eroticism and lust, taken from Japanese erotic magazines.
Portraits made using a very specific technique: the initial image is transferred to poplar plywood panels, then Morgane Ely sprays them with pink spray before engraving them. “ This bomb helps me to differentiate the part to be engraved from the part that is not. This is the only means of reference that I have found. But it has since also become a bias because I realized that the pink stood out. » She delved deeper into this wood engraving technique during an exchange in Tokyo, inspired by traditional Japanese print.
