After five years of absence, the Tennis Club de la Marine made a remarkable return with its winter tournament, which ended in style this Sunday. No less than 146 participants (121 men and 25 women) competed over two weeks, demonstrating the enthusiasm for this event relaunched by the club. Among the men, Luc Jumelais (1/6) won the final with authority, inflicting a dry score (6/0, 6/1) on Yanis Baudet (3/6).
On the women's side, the public witnessed a contested final between Anastasie Nion (4/6) and Gabrielle Patard (4/6). After an intense fight, Nion won in two sets (6/3, 7/6). Radiant after her victory, she said: “It was a great match and I'm really happy to win this tournament after several years of not coming here. It's a good period for me because I'm winning a series of victories. »
Michel Salou, referee of the tournament, welcomed this successful edition: “With 146 participants, it is a real satisfaction for this resumption after five years of absence. The volunteers' investment was remarkable, and we are proud to have regained great momentum at the club. »
