After the passage of Cyclone Chido, the Mahoraise youth football club has been organizing a collection for Mayotte since December 21. Donations can still be brought to the Combe à la Serpent stadium, in Dijon, on December 22, 28, 29.
A club created by Mahorais in 2014
This football club, born in Dijon in 2014 at the initiative of Mahorais, today has around a hundred licensees, from the island or not, in different age categories. Some have family there, like Moina-Echa Ahamadi, 19, manager and communications manager of the club, who moved to the metropolis for her studies. “I had difficulty hearing from them. I spent a few days without going to school because the pain was so great that I didn't have the strength. Yesterday (Friday December 20, Editor's note), my big brother called me to tell me that everyone was fine. »
They collect clothes or foodstuffs
The club calls on everyone's solidarity and generosity to collect clothing (t-shirts, shorts, long skirts, pants, jogging pants, children's clothing, etc.) and non-perishable food items (rice, pasta, boxes of cans, water, oil, flour, sugar, milk, children's milk, baby bottles and accessories for infants).
