We now know the date. The summary judge of the administrative court of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) will examine January 13, 2025, an appeal requesting the suspension of the A69 motorway construction site filed by organizations opposed to this project, they indicated in a press release.
“The administrative court has just set January 13, 2025 at 10 a.m. as the hearing date for the summary suspension filed this Monday (December 16, editor’s note) by our lawyers on behalf of 13 organizations”indicated “The way is free”, one of the activist groups most mobilized against the controversial motorway project to link Toulouse to Castres. Contacted by our colleagues from AFP, the administrative court could not be reached on Friday evening, December 20, 2024.
The environmental associations opposed to the A69 decided to file this appeal following the resumption of the investigation concerning the environmental authorizations of the site decided on December 9 by the administrative court of Toulouse. “We can only be confident about the decision of the summary judge, as the conclusions of the public rapporteur leave no room for doubt: the A69 does not meet any major interest, the environmental authorization must be canceled”, explains “The Way is Free” on its Facebook account:
The public rapporteur, an independent magistrate whose opinions must inform the administrative courts, ruled in favor of canceling the authorization for the A69 motorway construction site but the court ultimately chose on December 9 not to rule. , preferring to reopen the investigation on this burning issue. A decision which stunned opponents of the highway project.

The body emphasized in a press release that“a new hearing to rule on the legality of environmental authorizations” would stand “in the coming months”thus opening the door to a continuation of the project, which the opposing associations wish to avoid.
According to “The way is clear”, the hearing on the merits following the work carried out during the investigation decided on December 9, should take place “between February 17 and 28, 2025“.
