It is a company well known to the inhabitants ofEtables-sur-Mer (Côtes-d’Armor) which is returning to its lands at the end of 2024. Indeed, Helary-Le Roy funeral services are once again installed in the town, rue de la Renommée, in the artisanal zone of Villes-Robert. They built a brand new burial chamber there called The Baie d'Armor Funeral Space.

A ceremony room for 120 people

This new place of 600 m2 in total, created from scratch, is composed, among other things, of 3 funeral homes of 30 m2 each (themselves divided into 2 lounges; one for the deceased and the other for the family) and a large ceremonial room called the tribute room. She can receive 120 people and has a decorative and soothing green wall.

The parking can accommodate 70 vehicles. A permanent exhibition of funerary and cinerary monuments, in front of the Binic-Etables-sur-Mer premises, completes the offering of the Baie d'Armor funerary space.

For almost 100 years

The funeral company was created in the 1930s by François Helary, then a carpenter, in Etables. His son, Georges, took it over in the 1950s and then created, in 1980, with Marcel Ollitrault, former mayor of the town, one of the first funeral chambers in Côtes-d'Armor, that of the Saint-Roch cemetery.

In 1993, it was Isabelle who took up the torch with her husband Christophe Le Roy. They then bought the Jaffrelot company; which allows them to develop a marble work.

They are now at the head of three agencies (Binic-Etables-sur-Mer, head office in Saint-Quay-Portrieux and Plérin).

It’s a real return to basics. And we put all our hearts into it. The idea was really to build a funeral space where people could feel as good as possible: a sober and welcoming place.

Isabelle Helary-Le Roy

Today, accompanied by 2 of their children, Julien and François, advisors and masters of ceremonies, Isabelle and Christophe Le Roy, count around fifteen employees in their business.
