You have probably already seen these little ceramic octopuses. They made known Subjin Jung. Until December 31, she sells her creations at Christmas market, Place Terre-au-Duc in Quimper. She exhibits these little octopuses there as well as other pieces like vases or soap dishes.
The visual artist was born in Seoul, South Korea. Her journey led her to the Quimper School of Fine Arts in 2002. Since then, she has settled there and established her “conceptual art workshop” in which she designs unique pieces.
Its centerpiece? A little ceramic octopus Mounomimeaning “I'm the octopus”, which she made into a series. Coming from her imagination, each little octopus corresponds to an adventure, a story that she told to her son. These little animals have made her famous since she now collaborates with a famous designer in South Korea: Chung Chung Lee.
