Concerts et spectacles : for the people of , all the senses will be engaged. First with the projections every evening at the Grand-Théâtre of images painted on glass, then within the latter itself by going to see the ballet “The Nutcracker”, until December 31.

For the little ones, the participatory show “Charly Saves Christmas” will occupy the Chartrons theater from December 22 to January 5, and “Mary Candies” will bewitch the Femina theater on December 22, while “Bill and the Kid” will invoke a hint of magic at the Victoire theater on the 24th. To top it off, a visual concert entitled “Le Chant du son”, on January 4 at the Pont Tournant theater, and the Bordeaux Opera announces a concert ONBA Christmas celebration on December 22 in partnership with Radio Classique.


The video show, projected by the Limelight company on the facade of the Grand-Théâtre, Place de la Comédie, in Bordeaux, is visible every evening from 5:30 p.m. to midnight until January 5.

As for the exhibitions: Cap Sciences is still showing its course on dinosaurs, but has added since the beginning of December an exploration of the great cold entitled “Glaciers, cold ahead!” (or not).” The Museum offers the exhibition “Migrations of the Living”, in collaboration with the Botanical Garden, but also for those under 6 years old the Museum for Toddlers: its first event, “All Babies”, is of interest to baby animals. And for those who haven't yet had the opportunity, what better time to go see the Little Prince come to life on the walls of the Bassin des Lumières?

Interactive tours: the most hyperactive will be able to observe the birds… in stone and in flesh which hide in the facades of the city. An atypical activity offered by the Tourist Office, which provides binoculars to apprentice detectives on December 27. A giant escape game in the heart of Bordeaux is also planned with My Urban Experience, all holidays upon registration. At the CAPC contemporary art museum, the fun visit “Game of cards and traces of painting” combines culture and play for 4-6 year olds on December 28, and for the little ones (under 3 years old), the Casper itinerary is organized at the same place on December 21.

Booms for children… The Rock School Barbey is celebrating the end-of-year holidays on December 21 and 22, with a kid party: singing, interactive fairground attraction, concert and boom are on the program. Children will also be in the spotlight at I.Boat, which is organizing a party on December 22 with workshops, temporary tattoos, snacks, and dancing until the end of the afternoon!

But also : the big return of the outdoor ice rink, without ice, in dry matter, on the alleys of Tourny. And then, obviously, the Arlette Gruss Circus which is moving back to Place des Quinconces until the end of January.

An illuminated Bordeaux city

To move, the Beychac-et-Caillau ice rink takes over from the toboggan run from December 21, until the end of the holidays. And for those who still have a little energy left, Climb Up organizes a one-hour “fun climbing” session, by reservation during all holidays at the Decathlon Village in Mérignac.

To be amazed by the lights: A desire for nature? The du Bouscat is reinstalling its luminous works of art, now all year round, since December 20.

And for the rest… offers to introduce young and old to live performance, for the 23e edition of the On a Little Cloud festival, which ends on December 23. Also in Pessac, the Jean-Eustache cinema is organizing a cinema snack with a story, film and snack, on December 24 in the afternoon. To end the year on a high note, Christmas is the perfect time to watch “Harry Potter” again (or for the first time). The Arkéa Arena in Floirac is not doing things by halves, since we will listen to an orchestra in a film concert during the screening of the film on December 28.

In , Christmas arrives with great fanfare

Santa Claus will be very busy in Libourne this year. First, the door of his house will remain open for numerous creative workshops from December 21 to 24. And, at the same time, sound and light shows will occupy his village. It will also be possible to board the real Santa Claus train from Guîtres station on December 22.

Some shows and visits, including the “Legends of Christmas” guided tour on the 21st, and the “Zaméla de Noël” virtual tour until the 24th. And for those who love the cold, the “Snow Dreams” show on December 21 and the famous evening of closing of 22, which includes entertainment on ice.

But also… the Libourne ice rink, until December 31, and a makeup workshop for children, on the 23rd.

In Arcachon, a musical Christmas

Crazy entertainment: first, let's start with the basics, and will give the letter to Santa Claus on December 21 and 24, the latest deadline. Then you can take part in the various activities on the Place des Marquises, from December 21 to January 3: music, balloon sculptors, makeup and even an ice sculptor will be there!

Music differently: the Arcachon auditorium hosts various shows from December 23 to 28. Magic, storytelling and music combine to delight the ears of young and old. And the Arcachon Harmony Orchestra will give a “Words and Music” concert on December 28.

In the Médoc, crane migration, farm visit and homemade muffins

Some nature outings: To reconnect with nature, with children, what could be better than observing migrating birds? The outing is organized free of charge on the 28th from 4 p.m. in Lacanau by the Etang Cousseau Nature Reserve, which welcomes the arrival of common cranes every year. The Z'animals de Babou farm in Vensac puts on its Christmas costume on December 22 to introduce you to the animals, while offering a good hot chocolate.

Stories and animations: in Carcans, the Comedy of the Round Fairy and the Myopic Prince will play on December 21, 22, 28 and 29 at the café theater while a Christmas brunch and open stage “special for ugly sweaters” takes place on the 22nd. The Château de Citran is organizing a storytelling trail on December 27 in Avensan, telling the story of “Alice in the Land of Cats”. Verdon-sur-Mer and Lacanau will host activities around Christmas on December 21 and 22 for the first, and only on the 21 for the second.

And in Soulac-sur-Mer… the festivities will be in full swing, with several activities per day. Among them, the muffin workshops on the 22nd and 28th, and “Christmas hanging” on the 24th, but also the Super Olympiads for children at the beach basin on the 21st. For the more daring, the toboggan run will be set up all holidays, and a battle ball stand (i.e. archery on floating targets) will be set up on December 26. And, dream of the little ones, it will be possible to take a carriage ride with Santa Claus himself on December 24, and take a photo with him on the 23rd.

In South , castles and nativity scenes

The traditional crèches of Castelmoron-d'Albret return from December 21 to January 5. Cadillac Castle, for its part, plans to keep its visitors busy: treasure hunt and cinema session on December 28, guided tour of the castle on the 29th, theatrical visit on January 3, and sensory experience “The Banquet” on the 4th. January.

At the same time, the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure opens its doors free of charge on January 5, the first Sunday of the month.
