Bakel, Dec 21 (APS) – The coordinator of the Association of the Departmental Development Committee (ACDD) of Bakel, Mamadou Lamine Badji, invited, on Saturday, the populations of this department of the Tambacounda region to take ownership of the services departments in order to benefit from their support.
“We have observed that the population does not seek out information, does not frequent departmental services to be accompanied and supported in their activities,” noted Mr. Badji.
He spoke during the second edition of the day of integration, reflection and exchanges organized by the Association of the Departmental Development Committee (ACDD).
“It is true that department heads must reach out to the populations but it must be vice versa,” he added, noting that some department heads have logistical problems traveling through all the 12 communes of the department.
The second edition of the day of integration, reflection and exchange allowed department heads to explain their area of intervention by inviting people to visit the services to benefit from their offers.
This edition was placed under the theme: “what service offers for good support for young people and women in Bakel”.
“State services are there for this population, so we must work together to develop the department which has several assets,” indicated Mamadou Lamine Badji.
