A very important safety feature. While a car-ramming attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg in Germany left five people dead, including a child, on Friday December 20, surveillance was reinforced on the Strasbourg market.

This attack brought back traumatic memories of the attack on the Strasbourg Christmas market in December 2018, which left five people dead and eleven injured. At the microphone of our colleagues, a trader confided that she was always anxious when opening her chalet. “We wonder when it will stop. Every year, we put more and more security in place. We realize that this doesn’t prevent anything”she said.
