Air France, TAP Air Portugal, easyJet… Which are the least reliable airlines in 2024?

Who gets the shameful title of least punctual company? European aviation expert specializing in helping travelers Flightright analyzed the flights of 20 airlines that took off from Europe between 1^is January and December 13, 2024. The specialist has published two rankings communicated by The Parisian : that of the least punctual operators and those who have canceled the most connections over the past year.

The most punctual company is Irish: Aer Lingus takes first place with less than 15% delays on all its flights. For its part, Air France is eighth in the ranking. “Despite its status as official carrier of the Paris Olympics, Air France was able to […] minimize disturbances and only point at 8^e position of the companies furthest behind this year”, explains Imane El Bouanani, French spokesperson for Flightright, in a press release. In third place in the ranking: the British low-cost company easyJet.

And the champion of delay is… TAP Air Portugal. One in three of the company's flights does not arrive at the scheduled time.

Wizz Air Malta, the company that cancels the least

In terms of flight cancellations, the German operator Lufthansa appears to be a bad student while TAP Air Portugal climbs to 13^e place in the ranking. Air France maintains its eighth place with barely more than 1% flight cancellations.

The most reliable company in terms of maintaining scheduled flights is Maltese: Wizz Air Malta takes first place.
