The Robert Auzelle theater in Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) welcomes the musicians of the Rouen-Normandie Opera on Sunday December 22, 2024 for the traditional Christmas concert.

From 4:30 p.m., the 45 musicians will perform tunes by Bizet, Debussy or even Massenet.

Elegant music for Christmas

The public will thus be able to appreciate a poetic program between melodies and symphonic repertoire where the most beautiful pages of the masters of French music meet.

There will notably be an impetuous and singing work that Bizet wrote when he was only seventeen years old. The opera orchestra, under the baton of Pierre Dumoussaudwill share the freshness of this elegant and popular music, which bears the mark of the great composer. Massenet's melodies are, for their part, small, delicate scenes. Like a kaleidoscope, they reveal the multiple musical intentions of their author.
