Roxy Barhaman, who arrived in Tarbes last August, failed to win at the TGB. She will play her last match this weekend with the club.
Tarbes Gespe Bigorre (TGB) and its American player Roxy Barhaman will separate after the match against Chartres, scheduled for Saturday December 21, 2024. The president of the club, Jeannie Cointre, and the player have reached an agreement to end their collaboration .
Arriving in Bigorre last August after a season in the Women's Basketball League (LFB) in Landerneau, Roxy Barhaman failed to establish herself within the Tarbes team. With performances below the club's expectations in the La Boulangère Wonder League championship (11 minutes of play for an average of 2.9 points per game) and in the EuroCup (14 minutes for 4.8 points), his time of play has decreased significantly since November.
“It’s always difficult to part with a player”
“It's always difficult to part with a player, and Roxy is a beautiful person. But, in the interest of both parties, it became urgent to make a decision,” declared Jeannie Cointre, president of the TGB.
The match against Chartres will therefore mark the end of the Tarbes adventure for Roxy Barhaman, who will then return to the United States for the end-of-year holidays. However, this trip will not be followed by a return to the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Despite this separation, the club wishes the American the best for the rest of her career.
